Mindwarp Chamber

Scott Huffman

Scott has a huge list of influences, and indeed, his vocals run the gamut across many different timbres and emotions. Among his influences are David Byron, John Lawton, Rob Halford, and Geoff Tate.

Scott’s vocals are a staple of the Chicago metal scene. His work with Twelfth Gate, Syris, Spirit Web, and Lords of Meat was groundbreaking and powerful. Since leaving Twelfth Gate to form Mindwarp Chamber with Shreddy, he’s been establishing himself as a progressive metal singer in the league of Russell Allen or in traditioal metal ala Bruce Dickinson.

To understand how Scott ultimately got into his dream band Mindwarp Chamber you have to start back when as a younster Scott would sit in the back seat of his Fathers Cadillac while his Dad would happily smoke a cigar and listened to neo-classical or instrumental Bluegrass music. Now at home his brothers would play on the Stereo bands like King Crimson, ELP, Journey, Black Sabbath, Moody Blues and a lot more progressive and heavy rock bands.
All this music was intoxicating for a youngster in his formative years and would lead to where he is happiest in the realm of music today Progressive Heavy Metal.

Scott first started as a Drummer playing the circuit and out of State gigs but discovered that his true passion was singing. Since then he never looked back. Singing was king.
